Hey,
I was wondering if you wouldn't mind explaining how you set up the lighting? I've been experimenting with macro lately without much luck, mine usually turn out way too bright.

This one was actually done mostly with natural lighting. I had two simple photo lamps (no flash) on the left and right side of the flower, but the main light was coming from the window behind me.

I guess I have a lot to learn about proper and camera settings. Most of the time it doesn't matter what kind of light I'm using, the flower always turns out so bright it looks radioactive lol. I really like the softness of this one, is the background coming from the window as well?

No, I had a light blue background behind the flower. I have like this little photo studio kit, with some backgrounds and some lamps... it's nothong too fancy, but works fine for macro shots

No I could not recommend one. I got mine from a local supermarket. Like I said, nothing too fancy. Just search for portable studio kit or something like that
